Vijayawada, Oct 4: Expressing strong resentment over the Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) and BJP activists blocking Vijayawada-Hyderabad National Highway 9 and attacking buses, Telugu Desam Party(TDP) polit buro member K Yeran Naidu described the acts as ''barbaric and heinous''.

Addressing a press conference here today he alleged that the buses owned by Andhra people were being damaged. The activists were also blocking the roads resulting in hundreds of vehicles being stranded on either side.''This clearly reflects the failure of the state government on all fronts.The government's main responsibility is the protection of properties and the lives of people'' he pointed out.He alleged that though the attacks on Andhra buses continued in Nalgonda district boardering Krishna district, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy had not condemned the acts yet.The notice for 'Sakala Janula Samme'(strike by all people) was issued one month before and the government had taken no steps to counter the strike, he alleged.He demanded that TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao and students JAC convener Kodandaram must settle the T-issue in New Delhi, instead of agitating here causing hardship to crores of people.He asked the Centre not to stand be a mute spectator while Telangana region was burning and demanded that it take initiatives to resolve the T-issue by taking into confidence all parties in the state.
