Jan 18:Legislative Council chairman A. Chakrapani on Tuesday served notices to three Congress MLCs loyal to Kadapa MP Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, asking them to explain why the petition on disqualification of their membership for their alleged anti-party activities should not be entertained.

Dr Chakrapani served notices to S.V. Mohan Reddy (Kurnool), Konda Murali and Pulla Padmavathi (Warangal), asking them to send their response within a week on the disqualification petition filed by Government Chief Whip under Section 2(1)(A) of Tenth Schedule of the Constitution.

The allegations against the three MLCs, elected on behalf of the Congress party, are hobnobbing with the YSR Congress party and actively participating in the party programmes against the wishes of the Congress.
