Hyderabad: Telangana Congress Monitoring Group (TCMG) on Wednesday announced a three-day 'rail yatra' to New Delhi as part of its attempt to draw the attention of the Central Government towards Telangana issue. The rail yatra will commence on September 2.

TCMG Congress General State secretary, G Niranjan told media persons that the Telangana protagonists have been waiting for December, when the Srikrishna Committee's report on the future of the state is due to be submitted.

Mr Niranjan warned that the situation may go bad to worse if the report does not go in favour of separation of the state.

"We are hoping that the state will be carved out peacefully without any hurdles. If two brothers in one family cannot live amicably, then partition of the house is most advisable, similarly partition of the state is inevitalbe,'' pointed out Mr Niranjan.

Earlier, the TCMG also announced the formation of a 72 member delegation. This delegation will visit sacred sites in the city including Maisamma Temple, Yousufain Shrine and around noon the delegation head to the Telangana Martyr's Memorial at Gun Park and on to New Delhi.

The Telangana Congress Monitoring Group also released posters, brochures and flags with slogans of "Jai Telangana, Jai Congress".

The delegation would submit a memorandum to AICC In-Charge M.Veerappa Moily. The delegations would also meet Home Minister P. Chidambaram to bring his attention to their notices.
