Hyderabad, Jun 8 : Infotech Enterprises Ltd, a leading global engineering services company, here today signed an MoU with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTUK) to create the curriculum of MTech in avionics.

The MoU was exchanged here between Mr B V R Mohan Reddy, chairman and managing director, Infotech Enterprises and JNTUK Vice Chancellor Prof Allam Appa Rao.

The course will begin from this academic year. Infotech will be conducting special technical lectures by its senior practitioners, provide practical training, and working with JNTUK management towards strengthening the curriculum to align the industry requirements with the institute.

As per Infotech's campus connect initiative, the chief objective of the MoU is to establish the curriculum of M Tech in avionics.

''This is the first MoU for Infotech to program a detailed course for a post graduate degree. Infotech Enterprises is the first engineering services company to approach JNTUK for setting up M Tech in Avionics course''.

Mr Mohan Reddy said the company will invest Rs 50 lakh for creating the lab at JNTUK and intends to turn it into a hub for aerospace. ''We see a lot of potenial in nurtuning the quality engineering talent in tier II cities like Kakinada. This is a mutually rewarding partnership for Infotech and JNTUK, this relationship will ensure that their students are employable and for Infotech , it creates-ready to employ rich engineering talent'' Prof Rao said the MoU would go a long way in enhancing the value of the curriculum offered by Infotech and enabling the company to tap into specialised skills in avionics sector. The University proposes to start avonics course at B Tech level. It also plans to start courses in Sports Medicine and Food Tecnology in the current fiscal.
